As per the instruction from the department, a Swachhata Hi Seva programme was held on October 1 at 10 am at St Aloysius ITI. The programme was organised in collaboration with Lions and Leo Club, Mangaluru.
Fr John D’Souza SJ was the chief guest for the programme. The guests of honour for the programme were Roshan D’Souza, principal, Noel Lobo, training officer. President – Lion S Sheena Pujari, Leo Sushanth Poojary, Leo Chris Tellis, secretary – Lion Rajesh Victor Heri MJF, Leo Winston D’Souza, Leo Andrea Heri, treasurer – Lion K Shivaram Rai MJF, Leo Privisha D’Souza, Leo Allana Vas, Lion Wilson N – Leo Advisor, Leo Club St Aloysius ITI; Lion Nynette Tellis – Leo advisor, Leo Club, Mangaluru were present.
The programme commenced with a prayer song led by Lion Wilson.
Roshan D’Souza, principal, extended a cordial welcome to the gathering. The programme was inaugurated by unveiling the Swachhata banner and lighting the lamp by the dignitaries.
Flowers were offered to Mahatma Gandhi’s portrait as a part of respect.
Leo club members, students and staff members cleaned the areas of PVS, Bunts Hostel and Court Road. As many as 125 members participated in the Swachhata Hi Seva programme.
