St Aloysius ITI celebrated 76th Republic Day in the college premises on January 26. Raviraj Poojary, president – Dambel Friends & alumni of SAITI was the chief guest for the programme. Fr John D’Souza S J – director was the president for the programme. Roshan D’Souza – principal; Alwyn Menezes – vice principal; Noel Lobo & Wilson N – training officers; John D’Souza convener of the programme; Darshan S – president, student council; staff members and students were present for the flag hoisting programme.
The flag was hoisted by the chief guest and everyone sang the national anthem. Nickson, student of AC technician batch 1 welcomed the gathering. Preamble of Indian Constitution was read by Dylan, student of AC technician batch. Fashion designing 2nd year students sang a patriotic song.
The chief guest addressed the gathering by a short message saying that, “Today, we celebrate the adoption of our Constitution that is Republic Day, which made India a sovereign, socialist, secular, democratic and republic. This day reminds us of the sacrifices made by our freedom fighters and the importance of upholding justice, equality, and liberty. As citizens, it is our duty to contribute towards building a stronger and united nation.”
