Orientation Programme for the newly joined students was conducted on 2nd and 3rd of August, 2017. The inauguration of the programme was by lighting the lamp by dignitaries. Dr Farita Veigas- Principal of St Aloysius B.Ed College was the Chief Guest and the Guest of Honour was Mr Naveen Kumar-Principal of B.A.ITI, Thumbe. The programme was presided over by Rev Fr Eric Mathias SJ-Director of the Institution. Addressing the students Dr Farita said, “There is no alternative for hard work. If you do not put your hard work into your studies, even the best institution, best teachers and best facilities will be of no use to your life. It is you who need to get the best out of the Institution and faculty.” Mr Naveen Kumar said, “You are lucky to get admission into the institution which offers nothing but the best. You are here to build your future and ITI s help you to get employed very fast. Many of the students even have turned out to be entrepreneurs. Do your best and you will be successful”. The Director in his Presidential address urged the students to become the person filled with values like compassion, commitment and Conscience and inspire others. Mr Vincent Pendonsa-Princiapl of the institution welcomed the gathering and Mr Roshan dsouza- Vice Principal proposed vote of thanks. A prayer session was conducted by Mr Wilson N. Mr Robin Vas convener of the Orientation programme conducted the programme.
After the inauguration, students were divided into four batches and sessions were conducted on various topics like Personality development, Responsible use of media, Comminication, Time management, Etiquettes, etc were conducted. Along with institution faculty Mr Prakash Sequeira-Journalist, Mr Naveen kumar-Principal B.A.ITI, Mr Diwakar shetty-H.O.D, Mechanical Department, SNS Polytechnic, Mr Jerome Dsouza- Lecturer St Aloysius B.Ed College, Mrs Joshna-Lecturer St Aloysius B.Ed College, Mrs Sandhya- Lecturer St Aloysius B.Ed College, Ms Akshatha were the Resource Persons.
